Finnish Coffee

In the cold and frosty weather,
Finnish coffee warms me to the core.
With its rich and bold flavour,
It's a comfort that I can't ignore.

As I sit by the fireplace,
Sipping on my mug of gold,
I feel the warmth of the flames,
And the coffee's magic unfold.

The aroma of the roast,

Fills the air with its sweet scent,
And as I take another sip,
I feel a sense of contentment.

In the harshness of the winter,
Finnish coffee keeps me warm,
It's a tradition that I cherish,
From the first snowfall to the last storm.

So here's to Finnish coffee,
A comforting friend in the cold,
I'll keep sipping on it,
Until the spring days unfold.

Culture

Finnish coffee culture is a significant part of Finnish culture and daily life. Finns are known for their love of coffee and it is a staple in many Finnish households.

Coffee is typically consumed throughout the day, with many Finns starting their day with a cup of coffee and continuing to drink coffee throughout the day. It is also common for Finns to take a break from work or other activities to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends or colleagues.

Finnish coffee culture is also known for its high quality. Finns are known for their preference for dark roasted coffee, which is typically made with Arabica beans. Many Finns also prefer to make their coffee with a traditional Finnish coffee pot called a "percolator," which allows for a strong and rich flavour.

In addition to traditional coffee shops, there are also many specialty coffee shops in Finland that focus on providing high-quality, artisanal coffee. These coffee shops often roast their own beans and use advanced brewing methods such as pour-over or Chemex to create unique and nuanced flavours.

Most coffee consumed!

According to data from the International Coffee Organisation, Finland does indeed consume the most coffee per capita, with an average of 12 kilograms per person per year. This is followed by Norway, Iceland, Denmark, and the Netherlands, which all rank in the top five for coffee consumption per capita. The United States, by contrast, ranks 25th on the list, with an average of 4.2 kilograms per person per year.

Aurora Borealis

Aurora Borealis

As I sit outside in the crisp, cool air of Finland, I can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder wash over me. The northern lights dance and swirl above me, painting the sky with a mesmerising display of colours. I hold a warm mug of coffee in my hands, the steam rising up to meet the chill of the night. The aroma of freshly roasted beans fills my senses, bringing a sense of comfort and calm. I close my eyes and take a deep breath, feeling grateful to be in this beautiful place, surrounded by the magic of the aurora borealis
